More on Lewis: http://photos4.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/4/b/9/8/event_255139352.jpegLewis Schiff is the chairman and executive director of Inc. Business Owners Council (http://www.inc.com/iboc). His new book, Business Brilliant: Surprising Lessons from the Greatest Self-Made Business Icons (http://bizbrilliant.inc.com/), was released in March, 2013. His new book, as well as his previous books, The Influence of Affluence and The Armchair Millionaire are based on research on best practices of high net worth and high-performing households.
In his new book, Business Brilliant, Schiff combines compelling storytelling with groundbreaking research to show the rest of us what America’s self-made rich already know: it’s synergy -- not serendipity -- that produces success. Schiff destroys common myths about wealth, and explains how legendary entrepreneurs like Richard Branson, Suze Orman, Steve Jobs, and Warren Buffett have subscribed to a set of priorities completely different from those of the middle class. He also identifies the seven distinct principles practiced by individuals who seem to understand instinctively how money is made.
Business Brilliant also reveals how these business icons accumulate wealth by excelling in areas of team building, risk management, and leadership development. Schiff offers practical guidance for finding success, from choosing one’s livelihood and pinpointing skills to focus on, to negotiating and task management.
