Beginner Workshop #1 w/thoughtbot

This event is good for people of all skill levels and ages. You should probably know some javascript.

Announcing, Our year's second beginners workshop!

This workshop will cover Johnny-Five, JavaScript and Electronics basics. You'll learn how to read physical input, make controllable output, how to tie them together, and maybe even how to put them online.

We'll be providing Arduino kits for use during the event, food and a guided tour into the realms of physical computing. So if you're new to JavaScript robotics, haven't touched it in years, or just want a refresher, come join us at thoughtbot!

• Your laptop running OSX, Linux (we can help with ubuntu, but if you have a hacked special setup you're probably on your own) or Windows 7+

• Node v0.12 or higher. (v4 or v5 preferred)

• Windows users need to install the Arduino IDE before the event to get drivers it provides.
