Description:

Kelsey Breseman (http://twitter.com/selkeymoonbeam), one of the core members of the Tessel (http://tessel.io) team, is leading a free-play Tessel 2 hack night!

Beginners welcome. That includes hardware newbies, coding newbies, etc. This is a good place to learn!

Tessel is a hardware platform built for Node. It features modular hardware components you can `npm install` which provide simple APIs for sensors and actuators (climate, acceleration, servos, etc.).

Tessel 2 is the newer, better version of the original Tessel. It hasn't shipped yet, so this will be one of the first places you can try it out! That also means that you're a beta tester :)

Check out some example projects here (https://tessel.hackster.io/) and come with ideas!

Schedule:

6:00pm: Doors open. Socialize with fellow NodeBots enthusiasts and enjoy food and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided).

7:00pm: A brief introduction to the Tessel 2

7:30pm: Let the hacking begin!

9:00pm: Doors close.

We are committed to fostering an inclusive, safe, and welcoming atmosphere at our events. All attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers at this event are required to follow our code of conduct (https://github.com/nodebots/sf/blob/master/coc.md).
