Marco is a software engineer at Asana, a task management and communication platform founded by one of the Facebook co-founders. He is visiting from California, and will be talking on their new web framework, Luna (https://asana.com/luna), that makes it much easier to build large-scale high-quality web apps.

We will discuss the process of deciding to take on such a large infrastructural component while building a product, two of the fundamental technological pillars: reactivity and server-side simulation, and ways we've found balance between abstraction and performance.

Asana will be sponsoring pizza and drinks. Thanks to 88mph for the venue.

No cat haters will be allowed.

Marco is also hosting another talk about Efficiency and Employee Happiness Talk (https://www.facebook.com/events/175025939366349/?source=1)

Schedule:

• 5:45pm people can start arriving; pizza and drinks served

• 6:30pm talk starts

• 7:30pm talk ends; people can stay and chat over drinks
