Our group meets many times a month for leader-less (non-guided, I can't stress this enough!!!) hikes. This groups main purpose is to help facilitate the meeting of others interested in "peak bagging" (summit attempts/conquests) and other high mountain hiking, backpacking, camping enthusiasts with a focus on leaving no trace of litter on our lands! Many/most of the planned hikes will be training hikes for endurance, strength, cardio, equipment selection, acclimation and general preparedness for future higher elevation peak summit attempts. Future "Peak" trips may include use of snow shoes, cramp ons, ice ax, and basic rock climbing, bouldering, mountaineering. FYI: We will be posting and completing all sections of the "TRT" (Tahoe Rim Trail) when weather permits as well. Suggestions are always welcomed!
