Nordic Game meet-up

  • May 22, 2013 · 3:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

With the help of partners: Nordic Film and TV Fund, The Danish Film Institute, The Swedish Film Institute, The Norwegian Film Institute and Nordisk Panorama, the meet-up is free and open to Nordic transmedia producers: You don't need a Nordic Game pass to attend, you just need to register to the event at this site.

The transmedia meet-up takes place on May 22nd, at Slagthuset in Malmö - a five minute walk from the central station.

Download the floorplan of Slaghuset here: http://nordicgame.com/?id=128 - we'll be in the Oslo/Stockholm rooms and use the entrance right outside this year (the side facing the central station).

Dinner will be in the same venue, and hopefully outside if the weather permits. Screening of the film will happen in the Blackberry Theatre (use entrance around the corner, outside the lounge) and Indie Night happens in the bar next door to the entrance.

PROGRAM:

14:30 Registration

15:00 - "Building your audience via social media storytelling" - A masterclass with Carri Bugbee, marketing whiz and award winning creator of Mad Men fan-tweets for @peggyolson

17:00 Unconference part where you're in charge of the discussions - with three tracks:

"Pimp my project" - where you can ask for feedback from other creatives
"I'll tell you a secret" - where you can talk about something you want to share or discuss
"Open track" - where you can suggest sessions on just about anything

You host a session by suggesting a topic, leading the discussions and ending on time (30 minutes)

19:00 Informal dinner

20:30 We join the Nordic Game participants for the Indie night party and a screening of Suvi Andrea Helminens interactive documentary "48 hour games", around the corner.

Hi All! Thank you for the awesome event. Does anyone know where we can get a copy of the first speaker's PPT? I remember she said that she's make it available to attendees.

the meet up was a really good event. I wish we had had more time to discus concrete matters in projects. I think that case based discussions could be really useful. meaning cases in any stage - from early development, financing (ongoing) to launch, promo etc. keep up the good work, cecilie

Thanks for the feedback, Lise - we had a workshop two years ago on different project stages but it's a recurring problem that the participants are very far apart in their background and experiences, that's why we've geared it for the unconference sessions where the room decides topics and levels. Let's work together to make next year's event better :)

sure - it's by no means a negative criticism, but an urge to get more
