Nordisk Panorama transmedia meet-up

We kick off the shorts and docs festival Nordisk Panorama with an open meet-up focusing on transmedia and social issues.

To particpate in the meet-up, please sign up at this site. Participation in the meet-up is free of charge, but no shows will be charged SEK 300.

Program

The meet-up will be leading up to the the opening of the Nordisk Panorama festival and the Nordisk Panorama Hackathon, Sept 20-22, where selected digital content creators work on creating prototypes for non-fiction projects. The meet-up will also be held in a 'hackathon spirit'.

Ingrid Kopp, Director of digital initiatives at the Tribeca Film Institute, kicks off the event sharing her experiences on her work with Tribeca’s Hackathons: How to create a minimum viable product in a short timeframe, how to work as a team across disciplines and how to fail fast and forward and have a great time doing it!. Finally hear about some of the hackathons Ingrid has run under the 'Tribeca Hacks' banner in the US – what worked, what didn't and why they love doing them so much.

Afterwards, the unconference event gives you an opportunity to talk about what you want by hosting a slot of 30 or 40 minutes, sharing experiences, starting a discussion or participating.

All participants in the meet-up can participate in the opening of Nordisk Panorama by sending an email to [masked] with subject NP Transmedia Meet-up, containing your name and surname (Deadline Friday 13th).

The Nordisk Panorama Transmedia meet-up 2013 is supported by Nordiska Kulturfonden.

Thank you so much for the great meetup, I wish I would have been able to hear all the speakers!

I want to share an offer with you:

October 24-25, there will be a Experience design conference called ”Alibis for Interaction”. The objective is to get anyone and everyone who work with audience/user participation to meet and learn from each other, across different disciplines. No matter if we work in transmedia, schools, games, museums, art or even religious experiences, we might share the same tools and face the same difficulties. I share an office with some of the organizers, and have been given a disconut code (500 SEK less/ticket), that I’m allowed to share! Send me a message here on the site if you want the code!

If we are many from this network who are going, perhaps we could have a small informal meetup during the conference?

    Hope to see you soon!

Perhaps it's easier to make a separate event for this meet-up? I don't think comments are posted automatically to the whole group :)

    Hallo!
Finally a moment to check in.
Cecilie - can you tell us more about what's been planned so far? I'd be happy to help out in any way I can. TM and social issues is my favourite thing and part of my background. Giusy - I'm looking forward to finally meeting you and hear more about your thoughts.
