• Launch of the VR Hackathon Common Shores
What if you could tell a story – and make someone live it? Filmmakers and game developers are essential to meet the increasing demand from museums, companies and municipalities to communicate but also interact with their audience through moving images.
The Common Shores VR Hackathon will be held at Bohus fästning, outside Gothenburg, Sweden, April 21-24 2017. More information at facebook.com/nordichackathon and registration at bit.ly/29KfOB9.
• Key note: The Art and Science of Immersion
VR technology is getting better. But quality content is lagging behind. How does the industry move from the gimmick of “wow” to the substance of “watch”? The time for artistry in VR filmmaking has come.
In collaboration with BoostHbg, Common Shores has invited Brian Seth Hurst to give a key note on the new language of cinematic VR, and on writing and producing for VR across multiple genres.
• One hour hack
What can we prototype in an hour? That’s the challenge we’ve given Tim Garbos and Rune Drewsen from Triband / Copenhagen Game Collective. They will be on stage working away with the input from the audience - expect an interactive, inspiring and fun session that will make you want to apply for the Common Shores VR-Hackathon in 2017.
• Networking
We end with a networking session with refreshments and all your digital peers. If you want to learn more about the Common Shores VR Hackathon, Kultur I Väst and Viken filmsenter will be present to answer your questions.
