Conditioning Hill Climbs - Richmond Beach

This walk is faster paced and designed to get us huffing and puffing up hills and stairs.  For a more leisurely walk, check out our Wednesday evening walks.

Each Thursday in March, lets use Richmond Beach as our starting point and climb some hills. Whenever you have a beach as a starting point the only direction is up. Do not be intimidated.  We will push ourselves but not kill ourselves.  We may have different speeds up the hill but once at the top we will wait and regroup for all to arrive before moving on.  If fitness is your goal, this is the walk for you. Plan on about 45-60 minute walk time (3-4 miles depending on our speed).

Views, when the weather is clear, can be spectacular from many points around here. If tide is low enough we can walk the beach and come out on the road near the steep hill - fun stuff).  Cool down on the bluff trail.

Dogs in attendance must be leashed and have their owner present.

No children under the age of 12.

We will make it a priority to walk as a group.  Paces may be a little different but I will stop along the way for others to catch up.  Everybody needs to watch out for others.  Let somebody know if you need a break or are going to turn around/
