My purpose in this site, and I am sure other members agree, is to spread the Joy of Salsa Dancing and create a Salsa Dance Community. I believe everyone should be touched by the magic of Salsa dancing.

My name is Meli Morash, born and raised in Istanbul,Turkey. Being from the Mediterranean area I was exposed to Latin dances like Samba, Mambo, Cha-Cha- Cha, and Rumba, but did not know anything about SALSA.















About 15 years ago my friend and I were in Cancun Mexico, I encounter the Salsa Congress.The music was played by 16 Cuban Musicians.







It was energetic, uplifting and exciting. I fell in-love with SALSA music that night, and vowed then when I returned to the States, I would learn this dance. The rest is history?
