August Meetup - Open Discussion (#NCTG6)

Hello everybody,
August's meetup is coming up next Monday. There will be no presentation. The focus will be on socializing and networking.
Personally, I am hoping to discuss the format for future North City Tech group meetups. At our last meetup, the presenter had to talk over people at times, and by the time the presentation was over we didn't have time for a Q&A. It would be nice if we could get some consensus around a format that provides value to all attendees and encourages them to continue attending.
People attend North City Tech group meetups for different reasons:
- to present
- to listen
- to learn
- to discuss
- to network
- to socialize
How can we make NCTG meetups worthwhile for all these types of attendees? Do we stick to a timeline in our meetings? Alternatively, do we only have a presenter every other meetup, with every other meetup reserved for open discussion?
It would also be nice to get some volunteers to help Ali & I with meetup organization. We are what we contribute. I'm eager to hear your thoughts and am looking forward to seeing everybody at the Shoreline Library on Monday, August 1st!
