This is the place to go if you want to hang out with your Northern Virginia neighbors who are also learning a new language! We help each other improve upon the basics of written & conversational Korean & English; we will definitely practice speaking! (Free Talking!) NOVA Korean is truly blessed with high-quality people with a sincere desire to study and learn the language and culture. We are a dynamic eclectic group.

NOVA Korean organizers plan several "meetups" each week. Attend an event and after you meet a few people it's easy to meet at a cafe or other location suitable for exchanging because we're all local and nearby to one another. We're just a "text" away!

Our motives are a mixture of the practical, the pleasurable and the altruistic. Shop owners, customers and co-workers, friends and professionals desire to interact more fluently with one another. Homemakers want to better help their children with schoolwork. Other people with time on their hands hope to get more out of museums and movies, or to become useful volunteers for civic and charity groups.

Note from Jesse:    I started the group and pay meetup to have it.  The membership for you is free.  You can go to any event.  The only fees are for your dinner, commute, or whatever. (Please have cash on hand.) If there is a fee for an event we usually make it clear.  We have social events frequently but our main premise is to speak Korean and help Koreans speak English.  We have all levels in attendance.  So...  feel free to join up.
