Creating and Consuming APIs in .NET: Why and How - G. Andrew Duthie

Details
With the rise of mobile computing, and the dramatic increase of browser functionality that comes with HTML5, it's becoming ever more important to avoid building monolithic applications that are restricted to one operating system or environment. One way to expand the reach of your programs, and to enrich what they have to offer, is to expose and/or consume APIs. In this session, you'll learn what a modern API looks like, the basics of HTTP and REST-style APIs, and how to consume and create APIs using the Microsoft development toolset.
Pizza will be provided!
