Meet other local hippies, tree-huggers, freethinkers, counter-culturists and loving folks of the world.
This meetup group was started accidentally, and is now an experiment.
I hope it turns out to be a great mistake.

This is a very exclusive group. Please take the following membership test and decide if this group is for you:

Are there a lot of people that are just too uptight?
If you smile more, do people smile more at you?
Do you believe in women's liberation, civil rights, stepping to the beat of your own drummer?
Are you tolerant of others' finding and following their own beat?
Do you think happiness is a virtuous goal in living life?
Do you feel that nature is beautiful and should be preserved for our progeny?
Would you rather make love than make war?
Do you think there are more important things than material possessions?
Is it better to ask "why not?" than "why?"?
Do you find it ironic and sad that the Baby Boomer generation seems to excel at conspicuous consumption?
Is less often more?
Would you like to meet friends or lovers?
Should the word "Groovy" be used more often in 21st century America?
Are anti-drug laws a ridiculous waste of resources, possible tax revenues, and a way to make sure that cartels and criminals benefit from people enjoying "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness"?
Are you a "hippie"? Were you ever? Partially? Or maybe a "flower child"?
Do you drive a hybrid car?
Do you recycle? Compost?
Do you have a photo of you or someone or something hugging a tree?
Would you like one?
Do you like rock and roll music?
Do you think you should let your freak flag fly?

Would you like to meet people that answer yes to some of the above questions?
If so I hope you join NOWHERE YOU ARE.

Come in and smile awhile!!
Besides bringing back some of the best ideals and joi de vivre of the 60's/70's
I hope to let my freak flag fly a little more, smile more, and grow more hair.

I also hope some of you come to some events or contribute to the message board, or write a nice letter to another member. If you know of things going on around town that you think others might enjoy doing with you, I hope you'll let me know or post it on the message board or through the mailing list. I would really love to have assistant organizers who will post some events.

PS: This is Group Description # 2. #1 has been moved to the message board since there are now 98 "tree huggers that play" who joined while it was on the group's main page.
