Briefly introduce yourself - What do you do, and what do you hope to get out of the NYETM?

I am building a dynamically visual co-pilot to help primary care, urgent care & pediatricians improve the accuracy & time to diagnose a patient while they are with the patient. I need an amazing tech partner, preferably a woman but do NOT discriminate. I have a patent pending based on pattern recognition, set theory and information theory developed by an engineer @Bloomberg. I am certain we need to do more w/semantic web, ontology mapping, NOSQL, artificial intelligence & new ideas of which I’m likely unaware. I like being around people smarter than me & I like being ahead of the curve. EB Solutions has the opportunity to change the world (diagnosis is agnostic) & own the data that can be used globally to continuously generate clinical intelligence via our semi-open source database created via MD-expert crowdsourcing. I would also like to meet like-minded investors w/ passion & support. I am a 2009 Springboard Enterprises alumna and recently selected to Dell Innovators Founders Club.

How did you hear about the NY Enterprise Tech Meetup? If you heard about it from someone, who?

I follow several of the members via LinkedIn, Twitter & SlideShare and respect their knowledge and experience - I believe Milena Adamian also suggested I join. I feel certain I can learn and benefit from the stellar members of this group. Hopefully I can contribute as I do have a keen understanding of the business of healthcare: ACOs, PCMHs, Shared Savings, CMS (Medicare & Medicaid), patient engagement, physician social networking, EHR adoption and the myriad issues surrounding behavioral change. I appreciate that this a Tech Meetup but as I stated previously, I see technology as an enabler and functional products solve problems, not features. Technology in healthcare is quite often spurned by physicians & rightfully so - there are valid reasons. Knowing one’s customer and his/her needs and also being a good marketer (which I consider myself) makes all the difference.

Introduction

My career focuses on solving problems in healthcare & I've founded 6 HC companies to date. Big problems need big solutions & I am passionate and intent to make a difference in reducing the 6th leading cause of death in the US, without a pill.
