Be Thankful for Short Scala Talks

It's getting cold, sort of, and everyone is reviewing their finances to see how many MacBooks Air they can afford to give (themselves) this year. But what would a holiday season be without sharing stories by the fire?

It would be terrible! So we're having a special meetup exclusively composed of five-minute talks. Yes, speakers will really be limited to five minutes: we're using Hack and Tell's patented "kill them with kindness" lightning talk timer. It's better this way.

After you RSVP for the meetup, you'll be asked if you want to present. These are the kinds of talks we're looking for:

  • Personal projects you're working on
  • Useful, underused Scala language features
  • Libraries that people should know about
  • How tos!

If you've been in the group for a while and never presented, this would be a GREAT time to start.
