Hello Scala types,

Next week the Scala Bug Bash[0] is going to focus on Spire (https://github.com/non/spire). Eric Osheim, the main author, will give an introduction to the library and then we'll get hands-on and fix some bugs or work on features!

Hope to see you there!

PS Great to see everyone at nescala; big shout out to the organizers for doing another great job.

[0] Scala Bug Bash is a programming meetup that helps the Scala open-source community by coordinating the efforts of software developers in and around NYC.

This meetup is for software engineers (no recruiters :) who want to give back to the Scala community by contributing patches to open-source projects. We all stand on the shoulders of giants; existing projects like unfiltered and kafka and scalding, to name just a few, allow us to build {more, better, faster} systems. Helping open source helps all of us. It's also a great way to meet other like-minded people and to improve as a developer.

At the meetup itself, we work together to help these projects by fixing bugs, adding documentation, and adding features. So bring a laptop and come ready to write some code!
