Topicality of RSVP comments and message board posts

Everyone, please do not use the New Yorkers Against Religion-Based Bigotry (NYARBB) Meetup site, including RSVP comments, to promote your own religious (or non-religious) belief system. The purpose of NYARBB is NOT to promote any particular religion (or non-religion), but to promote religious freedom for all, and to promote separation of church and state.

It IS fine here, on our message board, to DEFEND your own religion (or non-religion) against common slanders. And it IS on-topic to talk about issues pertaining to the situation of members of your own particular religion (or non-religion) as a minority, or to discuss the ways you've been hassled by Christian supremacists (or by Muslim supremacists, etc.), or to contrast the beliefs of a theocratic movement with non-theocratic branches of the same religion.

However, religious (or anti-religious) preaching or attempts to persuade others to join your belief system are off-topic here. This includes, for example: (1) statements by atheists promoting atheism, (2) statements by Satanists promoting Satanism (or their own particular form of Satanism), and, of course, (3) statements by Christians promoting Christianity (or their own particular form of Christianity). Also, RSVP comments and our message board are not a appropriate place for parodies of any of the above.

Also off-topic are out-of-the-blue theological statements. Please also avoid religion-specific greetings or exclamations (e.g. "Praise the Lord!" or "Hail Satan!"), because this group aims to welcome people of all religions and people of no religion -- as long as they share our concerns about the tyrannical theocratic aims of the (mostly Christian) religious right wing.

Seriously off-topic posts on the message board will be deleted.

Unfortunately, I cannot delete off-topic RSVP comments without deleting the person's membership, which I don't necessarily want to do. But, everyone, please refrain from off-topic RSVP comments in the future.
