Rachel Reese - Getting Started with F#
Details
Rachel Reese is a long-time software engineer and math geek, who currently works for MyWebGrocer. She's located in lovely Burlington, VT, and is an ASPInsider, a community enthusiast, and a Rachii. You can also find her on twitter, @ (http://twitter.com/rachelreese)rachelreese (http://twitter.com/rachelreese), or on her blog: rachelree.se (http://rachelree.se/).
By the end of this talk, you'll be ready to jump into F# development. I'll cover the fundamental concepts of F# and functional programming in general; then, show off the language features, syntax, and constructs, and generally display the fabulousness of F#; and finally, make sure you leave with a few projects to try out on your own.
Note from Rick: It's not often we have an intro talk these days. Be sure to bring all of your family, friends and neighbors who might want to learn about F#.
