There's a new club in town! The Moldy Fig (http://www.moldyfigjazzclub.com/about.html)opened recently and is getting rave reviews. Opened by some people from Fat Cat, it is supposed to be beautiful and they are getting really choice musicians to play there. The cover is only $5!!!!!

The Albany Times Union stated about his appearance at the 1997 Saratoga Jazz Festival, “Mr. Barnes has developed into a premier drummer, composer, and educator.”

On top of that, the incomparable Bertha Hope (http://www.allaboutjazz.com/php/article.php?id=5889) will be joining the Wade Barnes Bottom Line Ensemble for this terrific show. Many of you who have been with me for a while have met and heard Bertha play. She is wonderful! And she needs our support for this gig so I am making a special appeal that you get out there and join me on July 18th!
On top of the great music and small plate menus with wine and beer, they have a gameroom downstairs AWAY from the music. Huge improvement over Fat Cat.
