"Engineering Teams and Systems for Velocity": Jean Barmash

Details
Description: Any engineering leader charged with delivering software needs to understand the techniques that improve delivery velocity. Many of these are very context dependent - what speeds up a 5 person team, can slow down a 100 person organization.
In this interactive workshop we will examine what techniques and processes improve or retard velocity, and your role as a leader in shaping these. We will examine technical, process and people issues, and take a look at how these affect individuals, teams, and whole organizations.
You will come away with a number of actionable ideas, and deeper understanding of what makes teams fast or slow.
