Flatiron School Presents - BikeWithFriends - Gamify CitiBike!

Every week during the Flatiron School semester, 3 students will present a 20 minute talk and then we'll have an hour of networking and discussion. Every Thursday from 7pm-9pm!

This week: BikeWithFriends, gamifying CitiBike

How do you turn a bike share program in one of the world's largest cities into a social, interactive experience? This Thursday, Josh, Katie, Anisha, and Ning will show you the behind the 'views' look to the code of a new app that makes using CitiBike more than just a mode of transportation. BikeWithFriends employs Ruby on Rails, the mechanize gem, CitiBike JSON station data, and Google Maps API. Come on by to watch them demo the app!
