This is a social, business and performing group for serious artists devoted to the craft of acting. We try and keep the fans away so we can just be ourselves.
The organizer is Jason Bennett, founder of "The Jason Bennett Actor's Workshop." The Meetup group is used, in part, to keep you informed of Jason Bennett's teaching events (both free and non-free).
However, YOU are invited to create and suggest any kind of event you'd like to have via this group. Want to host a social? Want to see a play as a group? Want to have a "support group" to talk about the business, agents, CDs, etc? You name it, email Jason and you can discuss your idea with him.
Jason is very busy teaching privately, pursuing a PhD and writing a book about acting, so his time for running this group is extremely limited (in case you haven't noticed from the calendar...no recent events!). So, we're looking for members to step up and help organize this group. If you're interested in contacting Jason Bennett outside this Meetup group, you can reach him on here or through his school's web site at http://JBActors.com . There are many articles about acting there, in the reading room, check it out.
Be in touch, say hi...suggest an event...or a field trip. This group needs more leaders and can be anything YOU make it...
Greetings Performers,
Here is information I hope you will be interested in. As always, you are invited to suggest your own Meetup events! They do not have to do with my school. Please note, if you are interested in the below events, contact me directly at JBACTORS@gmail.com -- RSVPS are NOT accepted on here. You have to be interviewed to work with me within our school.
