Welcome to the New York City Classical Guitar Society! We are central to the New York City classical guitar community, and we would love to have you involved! We offer many events for guitarists and others who love guitar music. At the heart of the Society is our monthly meetup, where we share music with one another and have special presentations from guitarists, composers, and luthiers on topics of interest to guitarists. We also have a fast-growing guitar orchestra open to all that performs new and traditional repertoire and provides a great opportunity to play with other guitarists and improve musical skills. We present 13 concerts a year in two different concert series. Our main series presents some of the world's top classical guitarists in the acoustically fantastic venue of Engelman Recital Hall at the Baruch Performing Arts Center. The other series, our Second Sundays Series, showcases some of the top emerging artists in the classical guitar world in an intimate venue at the Roger Smith Hotel.
