Deploying Apache CloudStack from API to UI

  • Mar 13, 2013 · 6:00 PM
  • Gemini Systems LLC

For most organizations with a large computing footprint, it's not a matter of if you'll need a private cloud - it's when, and what kind. One of the most mature and widely deployed options is Apache CloudStack, a robust, turnkey cloud that includes everything you need to set up a private, public, or hybrid cloud. We'll cover Apache CloudStack from API to UI, and a little of everything in between.

Joe Brockmeier - CloudStack

Joe Brockmeier is a open source evangelist for Citrix and committer on the Apache CloudStack project. Joe has also worked for Novell as the openSUSE community manager, and has a long history of involvement with open source. He has also spent many years working as a technology journalist, and has written for ReadWriteWeb,, LWN, Linux Magazine, NetworkWorld, ZDNet, and many others.

We will gather at Gemini System's at 6:00 pm for a meet and greet. We will get started at 6:15 pm sharp.

On behalf of the NYC Cloud Computing group, I would like to thank Joe Brockmeier for an outstanding demo/presentation. We learned a boat load about Apache CloudStack, what it is comprised of, how its deployed, and where its going. Tremendous job Joe! Well done.

We look forward to catching up with you soon.

It has apparently been a VERY long time since I logged into my Meetup account. I am Matthew Mark Miller. I am an architect from Albany, working to mature a transaction processing platform supporting many of the top online retailers. I work with Gavin, and we're excited about CloudStack.
