Michael Cucchi, Director of Product Marketing for Enterprise Cloud at Akamai will discuss the challenges and methods for leveraging cloud computing within the enterprise. Akamai's unique global platform of nearly 100,000 distributed servers in more than 1,500 locations provides best-in-class optimization and availability for cloud computing methodologies. Michael will discuss leveraging public and hybrid cloud infrastructures as well as the role new mobile technologies will play in harnessing the power of the cloud. He will also deep dive on cloud security methodologies and highlight some specific examples of how Akamai defends the world's largest enterprises in the cloud.
About Michael Cucchi (Director, Product Marketing Akamai Technologies,Inc.):
Michael Cucchi is the Director of Product Marketing for Akamai’s Enterprise Cloud division. In his role, he sets the go-to-market strategy for positioning Akamai’s solutions towards strategic IT initiatives within the enterprise such as cloud computing, web application performance, and cloud security. Michael has over 18-years of engineering, management and marketing experience in the high-tech industry.
Before to joining Akamai, Michael spent five years running a major data center for the US Federal Government. From there Michael served as Director of Sales Engineering at Ammasso, where he helped launch the world’s first Ethernet based cluster interconnect. He was also integral in launching a next generation IP based video recording technology as Director of Technical Services at Timesight Systems Inc. Most recently he served as Sr. Director of Global Product Marketing at Expand Networks, who is a pioneer and leader in the WAN Optimization space.
