Second Tuesday at Dempsey's: Our 7th Anniversary Party!

We've made it through another year and that calls for a celebration! So join us where it all began for this group as we celebrate our 7th anniversary as a meetup at Dempsey's.

This group was launched Feb. 7, 2007 to support the Irish music scene in New York and provide a social outlet for fans of that music. About a month later, it met for the first time at Dempsey's for the Tuesday night open traditional Irish session (see photo below). There have been some ups-and-downs over the years, many people have come and gone, but 400-odd meetup events and nearly 1,300 members later, we continue to fulfill that mission. And the Tuesday night session at Dempsey's remains our flagship event.

So join us to celebrate seven years of good times and good music at Dempsey's on this night. Flutist Linda Hickman is the special guest and she usually brings some very talented friends along, and there will be some drink specials and plenty of good craic to go around. If you've never been to one of our meetups before or haven't been to one recently, it's a good chance to get re-acquainted with the group and help make sure it sticks around for another 7 years.
