I am a financial engineer working for an energy company in Brazil, but soon I'll be moving to NY, so I'd really like to join this group to start networking asap!

I am a financial engineer working for an energy company, and I simply love math and finance!

What do you hope this group will do for you?

I hope I can meet professionals and improve my network. I'd also like to join some of the meetings this group holds.

The main purpose of this group is for local NY/NJ Quants and Quant wannabe's to meet in person or discuss on the message board. Would you be interested in actively participating on the Message Boards or meeting in person?

What is your professional background ? What was/is your careerpath to QF ?

I am a mechanical engineer, hold a MSc in thermal sciences and have 5+ years of experience in finance working for an energy company, mostly with QF, Monte Carlo and Risk Management.

The Wilmott Forums, Quantnet.org and Nuclearphynance are great online financial engineering communities. The purpose of this group specifically is to encourage active group participation. Have you RSVP'd yet YES/NO/MAYBE for our next event?
