"There is a way to do it better--find it." - Thomas Edison
Searching for a new job or career by yourself can be lonely and isolating. As an estimated 60% of job offers come from networking, we believe there is strength in working together. (Membership is open to all, site is closed for member privacy.)
If you believe the job search is not a spectator sport, join us! Through small group workshops, we share best practices for applying for jobs, Web 2.0 strategies to make your search efficient, and a dose of optimism to keep going. We store resources on our site and send e-mail tips, so you can stay informed--even if you can't attend meetings.
Our organizer, Chandlee Bryan, M.Ed. is a career coach and a certified professional resume writer at Best Fit Forward (www.bestfitforward.com). Chandlee has over a decade of experience in working with job seekers and employers and has also worked as a recruiter. Chandlee facilitates a majority of our programs but also welcomes participation of volunteers to help organize and manage events.
At the present time, this MeetUp is one of the largest, active, job seekers MeetUp groups in the U.S. yet, our in-person meetings are limited due to a lack of adequate meeting space. We are seeking financial sponsorship as well as a "home" for future events. An ideal meeting place can accommodate a minimum of 15 participants and will include technical capabilities for presentations. Contact us if interested. (All sponsorship will be well publicized.)
