Hey guys,
Ever wanted to combine MySQL and NoSQL together? We have a new webinar "Seamless Integration: How to Deploy Akiban as a MySQL Slave" that explains the powerful yet simple process.
Presenter: Padraig O'Sullivan, Software Engineer
Date: October 30, 2012
Time: 1 pm Central
The MySQL replication module allows seamless replication into the Akiban database from any MySQL master configuration. Akiban addresses the data complexity challenge through a patented architecture that unifies NoSQL and SQL into one simplified structure. Deployed alongside an existing SQL database with no significant change to code, architecture or infrastructure, Akiban accelerates existing queries 10-100x so that businesses can gain instant insights into their operations without the need for expensive extract-transform-load projects, while embracing new types of data - social, local, mobile, big data - to add compelling and competitive new features.
The module comprises two main parts:
In this webinar we'll demo how a regular MySQL slave can be setup with the Akiban Adapter for MySQL installed. The data in Akiban is kept up to date by the MySQL replication stream as the Akiban Adapter for MySQL passes all requests along to the Akiban, which enables new compelling and competitive features to be added seamlessly.
Duration 45 minutes
Looking forward to seeing you among our attendees.
P.S. If you are unable to make it to the live event register anyway, and we'll share the recording after the event. Any questions? Email webinar coordinator.
