NYC Python/Django NYC Joint meeting

This location is shown only to members

'tis the season for bringing people together, and this year NYC Python and Django NYC are getting in the spirit by having a joint meeting!

We're making this meeting special by having the Django talk be about pieces of django that would be interesting to those who aren't planning on using django, and the NYC Python talk be about python components that would be useful to django users.

The presentations are:

* Justin Lilly will be speaking about some of the interesting internals of django, including the techniques that django uses to allow their model syntax to be declarative.

* Shashank Tiwari will be speaking about tools for scaling your web application, including Torndao.

* You, if you have a 5 minute lightning talk you'd like to give.

The meeting is being hosted by APress, who have recently moved their offices from the west coast to new york. They will be providing snacks and drinks (and if I had to guess, there will likely be a book or two given away as well).

Per usual, after the meeting several of us will be heading out to a bar to continue socializing - we'd love to have you join us!
