Thanks Aditya for a useful intro to Swift. Unfortunately I had to run out at 8. Hopefully I didn't miss out a lot.

Should we bring our laptops, and -- given this is a 3 hour session, wondering if I should grab dinner before or... perhaps there is some classic dev-pizza and beer provided?

Hi, I've noticed that the number of people going has dropped since this morning and the RSVPs are closed. What does that mean for those who still want to come but are not able to RSVP? Are we still able to come?

    June 18, 2014

I assume swift is XCode only? I don't have at recent Mac but I want to learn about Swift.

    June 12, 2014

    • Zack S.

Apple says they'll open source the language this fall, so at that point someone could compile it on any UNIXish platform. However, I'm not sure what utility you'll get out of it without the end goal of making a Mac or iOS app.

Do you have a link on Swift going open source? I hadn't heard.

I'm assuming this is a one day thing? Or is it meant to be a several day workshop/bootcamp?

    June 6, 2014

    • Oren G.

It's a one day event. Our initial event garnered so much attention that we had to make a new one to handle the capacity.

Ahhh got it - thanks for the clarification & thanks for hosting!
