The NY Video Meetup is the world's largest meetup group of video professionals. We meet monthly in NYC to showcase and discuss the emerging trends of our industry and to showcase creative work by local creators. Local startups, content producers, techies, and media companies demo in front of peers followed by bi-directional Q&A and networking sessions. Our goal is to bring the local online video community closer together and to inspire and help each other succeed by sharing our collective experience in the video industry. :

Our next NY Video Meetup (ft. Mobile Journalism) will officially take place next Thursday, March 21, at Vimeo's HQ.
This event will be centered around Mobile Journalism (MoJo). The idea is that every age is shaped by its storytellers. With 6 billion smartphones out there, everyone is a mobile video creator. It’s the lens through which we see and share the world. There’s no greater opportunity for this revolution than telling true stories, especially with the proliferation of generative AI content.

- Lee Shoulders, Director of Content Partnerships at Getty Images. Exploring the landscape of mobile video content.
- Caroline Scott, Content Creation Specialist at LumaTouch. How the mobile age has revolutionized content creation and demo the pro editing app, LumaFusion, Apple’s iPad App of the Year 2021.
- Nick Quested, Executive Director at Goldcrest Films. Sharing anecdotes from J6 where he was filming the insurrection at the US Capitol while embedded with the Proud Boys.
- Bob Caniglia, Director of Sales Operations, North America at Blackmagic Design. How the Blackmagic Camera app adds Blackmagic Design’s digital film camera controls and image processing to the iPhone, as well as how the Blackmagic Cloud workflow lets customers record to Blackmagic Cloud Storage and automatically sync with DaVinci Resolve, effectively getting footage to the newsroom or post-production studio in minutes.
