The Seed Group of the Oak and Eagle is a relaxed gathering for the study, discussion, and practice of Druidry in a safe, friendly, and receptive environment. Druidry is a way of experiencing and connecting with the natural world and other beings in a style and manner associated with the ancient Celtic culture that spanned northern Europe for thousands of years. Elements of Druidry can still be found in modern cultural and spiritual traditions. The study of Druidry compliments many other spiritual paths, and we welcome this diversity in our group. We are affiliated with the Order of Bards, Ovates, and Druids (OBOD)—an international order based in the United Kingdom—and use the OBOD material as the basis for our practice. However, while we find the OBOD courses and material rich in depth and spiritually inspiring, we do not require OBOD membership in order to join and participate with the Seed Group. To find out more on OBOD and Druidry, try starting with the OBOD website at We are an active group, celebrating the eight annual solar holidays & fire festivals (the wheel of the year) and each full and new moon. The full moons, solar holidays, and most of the fire festivals are open to the public; but the new moons and Samhain (Halloween) are open only to Seed Group members. We hold occasional eisteddfods (bardic circles) where group members share poetry, music, and art; and also participate in several periodic local and regional events that support the larger Pagan community or are just simply a lot of fun--such as trips to local parks or monuments, renaissance fairs, cultural festivals, and campgrounds.
