OCPHP August 2013 | AngularJS | hosted by Google

  • Aug 21, 2013 · 6:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

By Brad Green

Brad Green, Eng Director at Google and manager of the AngularJS project will talk on -- what else -- AngularJS.  He'll cover the design principles that drove development of the framework and through this lens present Angular's core features, programming model, how to think about designing Angular apps and how it differs from more traditional approaches.  Brad will also discuss recent development in the Angular world and the future of the framework.

HTML is great for declaring static documents, but it falters when we try to use it for declaring dynamic views in web-applications. AngularJS lets you extend HTML vocabulary for your application. The resulting environment is extraordinarily expressive, readable, and quick to develop.

6p - 7p Doors open for attendance

7p - 9p Presentation and Q/A

Join OC AngularJS on meetup

Thanks to Google as they will provide boxed sandwiches and drinks.

There is a parking structure behind the building where guests can park. Note that there is a fee for parking. Attendees are responsible for the parking fee and Google nor OCPHP will reimburse.

( Give adequate time to be there at 6p, park, and be escorted by security if you plan on attending for food and socializing before the presentation )

Upon arriving, attendees will be escorted by our security from the building lobby to the Google lobby (as the elevator requires special access after hours).  Linda will check attendees in at the Google lobby, then security will escort folks to our cafe where they can socialize until the presentation starts in a neighboring room.

Google staff will not be able to give tours of the Irvine office at this event. Please do not ask.

100% RSVP

We are looking for 100% attendance of those that RSVP. Only RSVP if you actually plan on attending at time of clicking Yes to the RSVP. Please update your RSVP the Monday of (Aug 19th) should plans change. This will help in case we end up with a waiting list. We ask that recruiters not RSVP to this one to leave spots open for developers (Thank You)

Really appreciated Irvine Google for hosting and providing some good food as well Brad Green for taking the time from Mountain View. As a user group, always good to create exposure for new tech

The information he went over was minimal, was hoping for something a bit more in depth, but he had some good resources to point so it balances out.
