I think upgrading from 6 to 7 is a good topic, as that is a task I need to accomplish. I would first like to learn how to set up localhost based on a clone of my current running website, so I can learn how to crash my website on localhost before I learn how to crash my live website.

Marcus. The first thing you need to do is create a copy of your database file. The next is to copy your whole file system for your site. Then using Acquia Dev Desktop (easiest to use by a long shot) you can import a new site. When clicking import, you can point the site root to the files on your computer and when it asks for the database you tell it to import the database file you exported previously. This will create a working copy on your local computer from which you can break :)

We can step through this visually at the meetup to show you how best this works.
