FRee Concert on the Beach in Laguna

Gallimaufry Performing Arts and Laguna Community Concert Band
present FREE music concert on Laguna’s “Main Beach”

Gallimaufry Performing Arts’ Songs in the Sand series continues with its second collaborative concert with the Laguna Community Concert Band to be presented for a single performance on Sunday, October 25, 2009 at 4:00 PM. The performance will take place at the Cobblestones on Main Beach located at Pacific Coast Highway between Forest Avenue and Ocean Avenue in Laguna Beach.

Broadway on the Beach is a FREE concert that will feature the soloists and stars from Gallimaufry’s productions of Thoroughly Modern Millie (Broadway star James Snyder and Eloise Coopersmith), Cabaret (Steve Josephson and Lisa Morrice), South Pacific (David Stoneman and Cecily Gish) as well as Gallimaufry favorites Amy Hitchcock, Angela Houle, Dion Mial and Margo Upham. And the entire concert will be accompanied by the Laguna Community Concert Band under the direction of Ed Peterson, Bill Nichols and Pete Fournier.

Broadway on the Beach will feature medleys from Oklahoma, South Pacific, West Side Story and The Music Man along with other Broadway favorites.

The FREE concert is sponsored by grants from the City of Laguna Beach and the Hotel and Lodging Establishments of Laguna Beach. The FREE performance series by Gallimaufry are fun for the entire family. Bring a blanket or a beach chair and enjoy Laguna.
