Hardisty Off Leash Park

This picture was taken at Hardisty Off Leash park on August 31st, 2013. Can probably tell you though that it won't look like this on Saturday LOL! Still, a very pretty park.

Our first walk of this New Year will be at Hardisty Off Leash Park. Another nice little gem of an Off Leash Park in the middle of the city. The walk will take place on Saturday, January 11th at 10:30 a.m. We will leave at 10:30 a.m. sharp as the dogs get restless waiting to go. Why should we go? You know your dogs want it after all the cold weather we've had!

To get to Hardisty Off Leash park, on the South Side of the river go North on 50th Street until you get to 106th Avenue. Go left (West) on 106th Avenue to 65th Street. Turn right (North) on 65th Street to Hardisty Drive. Turn left on Hardisty Drive. Take the 1st right onto 65A Street. Take the 1st left onto Capilano Crescent. Follow the Crescent a little ways and you'll see a park bench on the left hand side. I will be set up there. If you get lost or are going to be late, you can call me on my cell 780-690-5256. I'll only have it on for the walk.

If you want to google it yourself, the house that is across the street from the park is 6619 Capilano Crescent. There is lots of street parking on both sides of the street. Just make sure you don't park in front of someone's driveway.

Just a reminder, I know people love to bring treats for the dogs. For our Meetup walks though, can I ask you not to bring dog treats. If you want to bring treats for your own dog (for training purposes) that is certainly acceptable, but please don't feed the other dogs treats. Some of them are allergic to certain food groups. If you bring treats for your own dog, please give it to them away from the other dogs as some dogs (including one of mine) are treat aggressive. I would hate to have any fights break out over something like that. Thanks for your understanding.
