Capilano Off Leash Park

Our next walk will be at Capilano Off Leash park on Saturday, August 16th at 10:30 a.m. This walk is approximately 45 minutes long. If you are coming, please RSVP 'Yes' on the website with the names of any guests you are bringing so that I will know to bring your name badges. With 700 members it's impossible to bring all of the badges.

To get to Capilano Park you need to be on the South Side of the river. Take 50th Street North until it comes to a dead end and turn left into the parking lot. There is a Gazebo at the end of the parking lot on the right hand side. I'll be set up there. There is lots of parking but make be sure you heed the signs on whether you park parallel or angle. They are pretty strict about that. (Don't look at the google map that is posted as it is never correct. Just follow my instructions).

To have your dogs on leash for our walks is perfectly fine, but can I ask you please not to have them on retractable leashes as they get tangled up around the other dogs and people.

I know people love to bring treats for the dogs. For our Meetup walks though, can I ask you not to bring dog treats. If you want to bring treats for your own dog (for training purposes) that is certainly acceptable, but please don't feed the other dogs of the Meetup group treats. Some of them are allergic to certain food groups. If you bring treats for your own dog, please give it to them away from the other dogs as some dogs (including one of mine) are treat aggressive. I would hate to have any fights break out over something like that. Thanks for your understanding.
