Announcing a new Meetup for The Edmonton Off Leash Dog Recreation Meetup Group!

What: Dawson Off Leash Park

When: Saturday, October 16,[masked]:30 AM

Where: Dawson Park
South Off Jasper Ave and 95 Street
Edmonton, AB T5A 0A3

This organized walk will be at Dawson Off Leash Park on Saturday, October 16th, 2010 @ 11:30 a.m. at Dawson Off Leash Park. This is a multi-use park so there might be cyclists and joggers.

For those who haven't been to Dawson Off Leash Park, it runs along the North Saskatchewan River. Go South on 95th Street off of Jasper Avenue. Get into the inside lane and turn left at the first set of lights. Follow the road down and turn left at 89th Street (before you get to the bridge). The Dawson Bridge is presently closed. Take your 1st right into the parking lot. After parking you'll see me set up at the left of the parking lot in the grassy area. (Don't look at the google map as it's always wrong. Just follow my instructions.)

This park has some construction going on where you need to leash your dog for a bit, but I've found a path where we can bypass the construction, so our dogs don't have to be on leash. Just a warning that coming back there are some slight inclines and declines. If you're not up that part of it, you can return the same way we came.

This park has a fantastic photo scenic stop to take great pictures of the Edmonton downtown skyline. We will stop there for a few minutes for people who wish to take pictures for Xmas cards, or whatever.

If you get lost or are going to be late, you can call me on my cell (780) 690-5256. See you there. It's a great park for those who haven't been!

Looking forward to seeing you and your pooches on Saturday, October 16th @ 11:30 a.m. to walk the walk; talk the talk; and bark the bark!
