Welcome!
We hike five to seven miles, mostly in Santa Cruz County. Sometimes we will carpool up to one hour from Santa Cruz. We generally get 5-15 hikers on weekdays and 10-25 hikers on weekends. Currently there is a hike scheduled every third day. Hikes start at 11:00 AM unless they fall on a Friday, in which case they start at 4:00 PM in the winter and 6:00 PM in the summer, followed by dinner.
Most hikes will have a steep and rugged part. Some hikes have shorter or flatter options. Children are welcome if they can keep up and sometimes dogs are welcome depending on local regulations. We either bring a lunch and eat halfway through the hike or get together for beer/coffee/food after the hike, sometimes both.
The organizer is open to you organizing different hikes anywhere, anytime, any distance, any difficulty. Organizing a hike is almost effortless. Contact Andrew if you are interested.
