Last Minute September Meetup - Techraking

Hi Everyone,

CIR's Meghann Farnsworth will be in town next week and so we are taking advantage of her trip to give the ONADC crew a glimpse of TechRaking.

Social and gaming continue to play a major role in how the public gathers information and interacts with content online. At the Center for Investigative Reporting's TechRaking II (http://cironline.org/techraking) conference, co-presented with ONA and PRI, journalists and gamers gathered at the headquarters of IGN, a global leader in game technology, to discuss the intersection of news and games.

Hear about the winning game concept from CIR's Meghann Farnsworth, Senior Manager of Distribution and Online Engagement, and Jeanne Brooks, Director of Innovation & Community Engagement from ONA, how you can get involved in the TechRaking series as either an individual or an organization, and to share ideas about how games could work to elevate engagement around content for your organization.

Phase2 Technology is kind enough to host the event for us. All you Virginia-types should be happy to have an event in your backyard! The office is literally in front of the Braddock Road metro. There is garage parking available or street parking nearby.
