We've been invited to join the DC Semantic Meetup group next month. RSVP soon as space is limited.

Tom Tague, Calais Initiative lead for Thomson Reuters, will offer a presentation on Semantic Web technologies and the Linked Content Economy to reporters, editors, and interactive media managers alike in Washington DC on March 5, 2009.

The 'Linked Content Economy' is an evolving ecosystem of enriched and connected content that puts semantic metadata and open data assets to work in everyday media, content applications and Web-based services of all kinds.

Parking is available under the building, and the location is walking distance from McPherson Square and Metro Center stations.

Gourmet Pizza and refreshments will be served.

Many thanks for coming to everyone who made it last night. We really appreciated the opportunity to meet with you and share our vision for how Semantic technologies can help on publishing sites and in the newsroom alike.

I found the content was actually a bit too basic, but the joining of the two groups made for interesting questions and conversation.

Interesting combo of online publishers and very knowledgeable geeks. There was something for both --- lots of pizza, too. Thanks.
