Humanity On Call is a humanist outreach organization sponsored by the Humanist Fellowship of San Diego (www.hfsd.info ) dedicated to helping our fellow San Diegans and others desperately in need of support.
Our projects will provide opportunities to serve your fellow human beings in a variety of ways: homeless outreach, food banks, building homes for the underserved, blood drives, fund raisers, etc.
If you are a nontheist, this can be your connection to a non-religious community outreach organization and your opportunity to work alongside others who share your outlook on life.
However, many of our projects will have you working for or alongside faith-based organizations since they constitute (for now) the majority of volunteer organizations committed to this work. In addition, Humanity On Call has recently become affiliated with a national organization called Volunteers Beyond Belief as one of eight pilot chapters within the United States.
Our vision is to establish, over time, a nontheist community outreach organization that will express the values of Humanism in a concrete and compassionate manner.
