ONE STEP ABOVE is a group
of artistic young urban professionals who grew tired of the regular and average club scene of Atlanta and other major cities. In search of an alternative to “bumping and grinding” the group One Step Above made it there mission to educate teenagers to young adults that there was a classy alternative.

Intertwinning some of todays moves with traditional culture of Chicago Stepping, Detroit Ballroom and Soul Line Dances the group has developed a style that has brought us back to the days of Ol’ when people really danced.

A time when a woman could spend a night out on the town an not be concerned if she would asked to dance by a gentlemen. A time when a man did not have to worry about asking a lady to dance and being told no. It is true that history continuously repeats itself and we find ourselves going back to a time when we once danced!

So come watch, meet and learn from some of Atlanta's best urban dance instructors and dancers. Singles and Couples from beginner to expert level are welcome!
