Great photography begins with careful thought and planning and a thorough understanding of what goes in to making the photograph before the shutter release is clicked.

Professional fine art landscape & travel photographer Timm Chapman is of the belief that photography has strayed too far away from the moment of 'capture'  and is becoming more and more 'digital art'. Photographers often spend more time 'creating' and 'fixing' images on a computer than capturing the image in the first place.

As a classically trained film based photographer, Chapman believes that the best photographs are captured, not created. His classes and workshops provide participants the essential skills required to capture great images:

The understanding of good composition, lighting.

The understanding of the creative uses of aperture and shutter speed.

The understanding of exposure and the balance of light.

Classes are taught in a fun, visual,  interactive and most of all, in an effective manner so that you come away more confident in your abilities and more knowledgeable about the art of photography.

Whether you are a beginner to digital SLR photography, or an advanced amateur who has stalled in their progression, you can kick start your photographic skills into high gear by participating in one of the classes/workshops.

By the end of his classes, you'll start thinking like a photographer and will be making the leap from simply 'taking pictures' to 'making photographs'.

In-field workshops are planned in the near future as well for you to further hone your skills.
