A couple of polls! [concerts + New Years Eve ideas!]

Hey Onyx, sorry for multiple emails this week, but Lakeisha and I are trying to wrap up our planning for this month, and there are TONS of potential event ideas floating around, and we need some feedback from the group before we lock it down on the calendar. Since I'm a sucker for the holidays (and holiday MUSIC) and since our last outing to the Gospel concert was such a success, I've been doing some research on Christmas concerts coming up, and I found a few that are right down our alley. Also, New Years Eve is quickly approaching, and I've assembled a small task force to check out options for our group around the Bay. We can do it big, and lounge in a VIP somewhere, or ball on a budget!

Whatever YOU feel like doing, let your voice be heard by voting in the 2 polls below!

1. Pre-Christmas Concerts -
The week before Christmas has a couple cool concerts at Davies Symphony Hall in SF. The concert I really wanted to go to was 'Soul Children of Chicago' but the 13th is PACKED with Onyx events. Fortunately, that following week had more good stuff. First is 'Colors of Christmas', with some old school singers (Peabo Bryson, Jon Secada, Stephanie Mills, etc..). It runs Mon-Weds (15th-17th) and is $20. The second concert is called 'Home for the Holiday' featuring the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra and Irvin Mayfield. This one is Sunday the 21st and is $15. BOTH should be off the hook. Read more on both of them here before you vote.

If this is your first NYE in the Bay, or you're a veteran, you know there is no shortage of options to bring in the new year. There are so many in fact, we need to narrow it down :) We can go big and rent out some kind of party bus/limo with access and transportation to multiple clubs, we can price out how much a VIP booth would cost at different joints, we can cut some cost and do it old school house party style, or we can even hit up some kind of comedy show or concert. Pros and cons for each are price, parking, claustrophobia, price, price, and PRICE :) Personally, I'm down with any of those options if enough people are willing to pitch in. Pick as many as you want that interest you, or if you have an idea thats not on there, email that to me!

Thanks for your time! I'll make the decision when we have enough responses!
