I gained a better understanding of what is required to drive open source collaborations forward. The more that people can directly benefit from FOSS's development and adaptation, the more likely that they will participate. As we find specific ways of moving this group forward, we can share these 'best practices' with other open source groups across the world. It's a shame that people must reinvent the same wheel so many times. My thanks to those who attended and provided their insights.

Great discussions. We assessed the current state of affairs in the community and talked about the rumoured bid by IBM for Sun Microsystems and what that would mean for the Open Source world. There was also a mention of the need for the community to make a more aggressive push into the SME market space. Overall, it was a great meeting.

Good practical steps, objective strategy for moving forward into use and realization of Open Source Software.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
