SFBay OpenStack Hackathon #OSSFO

  • August 21, 2014 · 7:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

We will have multiple conversations, side by side in the same space. A bit of OpenStack training and some hacking on a common project, blueprint and/or bug.

This week's topics for discussion:

• How to sign up to be a contributor (launchpad, git acct, download sw, etc.)

• Suggestions on simplifying the training guide

• Cinder (if Mike wants to lead the discussion)

There will be no Google hangout this week (sorry kids). Instead we will experiment for this week only with a dial-in and virtual room:

Phone:[masked] or [masked]
Pass Code:[masked]
Virtual Room:  https://www.rooms.hp.com/attend/default.aspx?key=EP37H3P72W

Updates will be published via the meetup email list, OpenStack community blog, and twitter via @sarob or @hpcloudangel or @revanshp

    Hi,
I have a question. I notice that there is another session for beginners(who have never worked on open Stack) in Sept. I'm also seeing that there will be a bit of OpenStack training in the session as well.

Could someone please let me know which session is more suitable for absolute beginners? Thanks,
    Anu

Hi Everyone! If you are NOT planning on attending this hackathon, please UN-rsvp yourself to clear the waitlist, and also so we can get an accurate count (and printout for registration). Thank you! (Note, beginner track happens again NEXT meeting - Sept 4.)

I have updated the description to show that this week (only) there will be NO Google Hangout. Sorry about that. Next time. ;)

I'll be around again to help people contribute to Cinder or other OpenStack projects. I'm on the waiting list currently, so if I can't make it in, I'll be around on IRC freenode #openstack-cinder. Hope to see more contributors! :)

As Lisa-Marie pointed out, this meetup, on 21Aug14, is definitely NOT for beginners.
The agenda for this meetup is:
what do we need to do to improve the training guide.

Hi Anu, you should come join us on September 4th. The meetup on the 21st is definitely NOT a beginner meetup.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
