South Bay OpenStack Meetup, InstallFest and Hackathon

We will be meeting in main conference area. Pull into 701 First Avenue and the security guard will direct you to the parking garage. Park on the 3rd floor. Follow the sign to the training classrooms located in the adjacent building.

OpenStack hackathon, South Bay style. We'll have OpenStack core team members on hand for designing, coding, or advice, and if any beginners turn up then we'll run a presentation session explaining what OpenStack is and how it all fits together.

Drink, food, whiteboards and wifi provided by Yahoo! Bring a laptop if you want to code or to try an all-in-one install to take away with you.

These will run on alternate weeks from the San Francisco meetups. All the cool kids go to both.

Surprise guest speaker this week, me. Wish I had a bit more notice but was happy to give the talk.

I was hoping for a practical demonstration of openstack in a lab, and some hands on experience with getting started. The materials that were covered were still very useful to know, and should help me get started with openstack on my own.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
